Sheila Gardner
Sheila Gardner is an international award winning photographer and artist with over 15 years of experience. Specialising for many years in travel photography her images from Cuba and India have been exhibited in galleries in NY , Madrid and Buenos Aires. She joined Professional Photographers of America ( PPA ) in 2009 and since then many of her photographic images have been accepted into their prestigious Loan Collection. She received the NY State Elite Award, multiple Photographer of the Year (PPA) and Kodak Gallery Awards and finally received her M.Photog. degree from PPA in 2012.
In 2010 her creative work took a new turn with the advent of Corel Painter and since then she has been creating fine art paintings for clients around the world. Through PPA she has learned her craft from the top artistic mentors in the USA and established her own following by word of mouth. Many of her painted images have been accepted into PPA’s permanent Loan Collection. She was one of 16 photographers in the USA to be selected to represent Team USA in the World Photographic Cup in Norway in 2019 with her painting of charging white horses from the Camargue, SW France. In 2020 she was honored to receive her M.Artist degree and Diamond Artist of the Year at PPA’s International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. She is also a member of the American Society of Photographers ( ASP ).
“My studio is located in sunny Delray Beach, FL and in the not-so-sunny, but beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland. I love to paint and I love animals. So what better combination than producing timeless fine art portraits of our best friends. I specialize in all kinds of animals, domestic and wild, from head portraits to environmental portraits seeking to produce a work of art that is sophisticated and entirely unique. Awards are great and I realize I need to tell you about them to assure you that I am well qualified to create a painting for you but what you really need to know is that I will put my heart and soul into creating a wonderful piece of art for you that will give you enjoyment for years to come. My greatest pleasure comes from knowing that my paintings hang in homes from Charlotte, North Carolina to Johannesburg, South Africa to here at home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
